Jabby Birthday
COVID-19 restrictions reduced Australia’s flu cases like never before. While this is good news for now, the lack of flu antibodies in our community means there could be a deadly flu season ahead. The flu jab is our best shot at protecting our community, but in 2021 only a quarter of Australians under the age of 65 actually got theirs.
To young people, the flu is no biggie - a couple of sick days and a pot of chicken soup. But it’s a very different story when they hear that Nan has come down with a bad case.
We encourage Australians to get jabbed as a gift for their grandparent’s birthday, supplying a fill out birthday card with every flu vaccination. And just like that we make Nan’s birthday synonymous with getting the annual jab for years to come.
